What’s Next? CBAT & Typing Skill Test
Candidates who have been shortlisted will now appear for the next stage of selection, which varies by post:
1. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
For Posts: Station Master (SM) and Traffic Assistant.
Candidates shortlisted for these posts (8 times the number of vacancies) must appear for the CBAT (Psycho Test). This test is mandatory and qualifying in nature. Candidates must score a minimum **T-Score of 42** in each of the test batteries to qualify. There is no negative marking in CBAT.
2. Typing Skill Test (TST)
For Posts: Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist.
Candidates shortlisted for these posts (8 times the number of vacancies) must appear for the Typing Skill Test. The test is qualifying in nature.
- English Typing Speed: 30 words per minute.
- Hindi Typing Speed: 25 words per minute.
- Editing tools and spell check will be disabled during the test.
3. Document Verification (DV)
For Posts: Goods Train Manager, Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor.
For these posts, there is no skill test. Candidates will be called directly for Document Verification based on their merit in CBT 2 and medical fitness.
